What is the difference between astraphobia and brontophobia?

Astraphobia and brontophobia are terms often used interchangeably to describe the fear of thunder and lightning. Both phobias refer to the same fear; however, some individuals may use one term more commonly than the other. The treatment approaches for both phobias are generally similar.
