What are the symptoms of monkeypox?

The symptoms of Monkeypox are seen within 5 - 21 days after infection & symptoms similar to those of smallpox. But Monkeypox symptoms are typically milder.

The early flu-like symptoms include:

• Fever
• Chills
• Muscle aches
• Headache
• Fatigue
• Swollen lymph nodes

Rash usually appears after 1 to 3 days of fever and typically affects the:

• Face (most common site)
• Soles of the Feet
• Palms of the Hands
• Mouth
• Genitalia
• Eyes (Conjunctiva & Cornea)
